Almost did that in 1992, bought a ‘91 CRX Si instead. Was I wrong?

Think the then GF was tired and didn’t like the engine noise behind her head. So I caved.

It does make quite a racket, for just a 2L 4 cylinder. Hopefully I don’t get tired of it too.

Does it have one of those little twirly do-hickies that looks like a big snail attached to the engine?

I need more mid-engined goodness in my life, maybe I should go drive my Fiero.

Nah it’s not snail-powered. Unfortunately.

Good snail-editions have all been riced or crashed. Or cost all the money ever

$8500. Bit much I think. But it seems very sound, mechanically. Which is key for me at the moment.

Yeah, they’ve certainly gone up in price. My buddy had an N/A 91, that car was still a lot of fun, though it liked to put the rear end facing forward and doing engine work was never fun due to the difficult access. Thankfully it was super reliable, other than shifter cables.

Hopefully they keep going up now that I’ve got my hands on one! Reliable sounds good, that’s what I’m after.

Nice! A friend has one that looks exactly like yours, NA too. I’ve only ridden as a passenger but it seemed to have pretty decent torque from low to mid-range! It was pretty loud for a stock car though lol must be a mid-engine thing.

It really does have pretty good acceleration. I’ve been blaming the weight for that - it’s hundreds of kilos less than the Z, so even with less power it can do more with it. And maybe it feels more effortless as well, which feels faster.
